This 2007 Gibson Custom Shop ES-355 is a great example of the incredible work produced by the Gibson Custom Shop, perfectly capturing the signature tone, playability and luxurious looks of original ES-355 models.
This ES-355 is constructed from a Maple body with an Ebony fingerboard and a Mahogany neck, with a sleek Ebony lacquer finish that sets it apart from the majority of ES-335's out there. With block pearl fret markings and the classic split parallelogram headstock inlay present on these top of the line semi-hollow models, the neck has a comfortable '60s style carve and deluxe Grover Rotomatic tuners. The Gibson ES-355 has always been a top-of-the-line guitar with all-gold hardware, including an ABR-1 bridge and Bigsby vibrato tailpiece. The body is equipped with factory mono electronics with varitone rotary switching for a variety of tonal possibilities, and a set of Classic '57 Gibson humbuckers that capture the subtle tone of a classic Gibson pickup.
This guitar is in very good cosmetic condition, with minimal play wear to the instrument, primarily to the rear of the body, and some light patina to the metal hardware. This guitar is internally and externally original, and includes a Gibson Custom Shop case and its original documentation.
