2003 Martin D-41 Sold Out Sold Out The Martin D-41 was first introduced in 1969, and bridged the gap between the companies flagship D-28 rosewood model, and the top of the line D-45 guitar. This 2003 Martin D-41 Standard retains the styling of those vintage models with more modern playability and the tonal versatility that makes Martin guitars so special. Constructed from a Sitka Spruce top with East Indian Rosewood back and sides, this D-41 features the forward shifted scalloped bracing that makes top end US made Martin guitars particularly resonant and responsive. The Spruce and Rosewood pairing offers a supremely balanced response across the frequency range, making it perfect for nuanced fingerstyle playing and big open chords alike. Vintage inspired features include an ebony belly down bridge, celluloid style pickguard, along with the abalone top binding and rosette, hexagonal fretboard inlays and gold hardware that are unique to the D-41 model. This guitar is in very good condition, with only minor signs of lacquer wear to the top and back. This guitar also includes its original case. As with all our instruments, this guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
