1999 Martin 00C-16DB "Women In Music" Sold Out Sold Out This 1999 Martin 00C-16 DB "Women In Music" is a great example of a limited edition Martin guitar. This series ran from 1997-2003, and were designed with input from Joni Mitchell, Sheryl Crow and Diane Ponzio among others to design a guitar by and for women, with a percentage of the sales going to breast cancer awareness projects. The 00C-16 DB features a solid Sitka Spruce top and solid Mahogany back and sides, with a smaller 00 body size that makes it perfect for finger style playing and scalloped X bracing for enhanced resonance and projection. This give the 00-16C DB the comfort and playability of a smaller body Martin, with a tone designed to match that of a dreadnought. The neck has a slotted headstock 14 fret design, a particularly uncommon feature on most Martin acoustics. The neck profile is low oval shape with 1 11/16" nut width, making it particularly comfortable to play. The guitar is finished off with a custom wooden inlaid rosette, only found on the "Women In Music" series. This guitar is in excellent condition with only minor signs of play wear, and includes its original hard case. This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
