This Fender Telecaster from 1978 is a great example of a late 70s player grade Telecaster, with enough changes to make it an affordable entry point in to vintage Fender instruments. This Telecaster features an Alder body with four bolt neck design and classic Blonde poly finish, which has yellowed extensively over time. The maple neck has a typical late '70s profile and is very comfortable in the hand, with the frets only having minimal wear, with a nicely figured Indian rosewood fretboard. The bridge position features a replacement Seymour Duncan single coil, while the neck pickup appears original. There is evidence that parts of the wiring have been redone, and the switch is non original, although both pots date to the end of 1977. The original tuners have been replaced with more modern Schaller equivalents, and the 3 bridge saddles have been upgraded to brass.
This guitar is in good condition, with plenty of play wear, lacquer aging and general signs of wear and tear over the years. This guitar also includes a non original case.
This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
