The Les Paul Custom has been the top of the range Gibson solid body since its introduction in 1954. This 1976 Gibson Les Paul Custom is a great example of a mid '70s 'Black Beauty.' This guitar features a Mahogany body along with a Mahogany neck and Ebony fingerboard, with the typically resplendent block inlays and split diamond peghead logo found on all custom models. The tuners and other hardware are all gold, as was the standard for this model. The body is fitted with a set of patent stamped pickups that offer a versatile, well balanced tone and plenty of power when played through a saturated amp.
This guitar is in very good condition, with some minor signs of play wear to the body and back the of the neck. It is internally and externally original, with the exception of a rewound bridge pickup and a changed tailpiece. This guitar also includes its original first generation chainsaw case.
As with all our vintage instruments, this guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by the luthier at the Vintage Instrument Workshop and is guaranteed for 3 years in line with our vintage instrument warranty.
