The Gibson EDS-1275 was initially introduced in 1958, and although it only featured in the Gibson catalog for four years initially, many high profile musicians would turn to the EDS-1275 over the years for its unique 6 string / 12 string hybrid design, with it being used on stage by Jimmy Page, Steve Miller and Don Felder among others over the years. This 1975 Gibson EDS-1275 is a great player grade example from the second year of production after the model was reintroduced by Gibson in 1974.

This guitar has been fully refinished in a period correct Polaris White lacquer. Although we don't know exactly when the refinish was done, there is a mild amount of patina and discolouration that would suggest it was refinished some time ago. The body is made from solid Mahogany with a Mahogany neck, and is fitted with two sets of Gibson Patent No. humbuckers, each with their own master volume and tone controls. The electronics and pots appear original, although a previous owner has fitted an additional output jack to the bass side lower edge of the body, which has been soldered in to the existing loom.

This guitar is in very good condition with only minor signs of play wear to the finish. This guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
