Westerly made Guild acoustics are some of the best vintage acoustic guitars on the market, with a near perfect balance between affordability and great vintage tone when compared to the pricier and more sought after guitars produced by Martin & Gibson. This 1972 Guild D25 is a great players dreadnought, with a particularly open tone and the less common cherry lacquer finish.
This 1972 Guild D25 is an early example of a Rhode Island made Guild guitar, after the companies relocation from New Jersey in the late '60s. Constructed from a Mahogany top with Mahogany back and sides, this D25 is an example of one of the earlier flat back, all solid wood models, before the transition to the pressed back design. As such, this guitar has an open, airy tone that sets it apart from other '70s made Guild guitars, with plenty of projection and top end sparkle.
This guitar is in very good condition, with only minimal signs of play wear and ageing to the finish. This guitar is all original, and includes its original hard case.
As with all our vintage instruments, this guitar has been given a thorough service by the Vintage Instrument Workshop and is guaranteed for 3 years in line with our vintage instrument warranty.
