The Gibson B-25N was introduced in 1963 to replace the previous LG-3 model in the Gibson catalog. There is not a whole lot of difference between the two models other than the name, with the B-25N featuring the same natural Spruce top with X bracing and Mahogany back and sides. The B-25 does however feature cherry stained back and sides. This model from 1968 is a great instrument, with a particularly resonant and responsive tone when played with a pick or fingers. This guitar also features the slightly narrower nut width introduced by Gibson in the late '60s, making it very comfortable to play.
This guitar is in excellent condition, with the kind of minor lacquer checking and patina you would expect to see with an instrument of this age. The tuners, belly up bridge, adjustable rosewood saddle and sound wave logo pickguard are all original and fully functional. The bridge has previously been re-glued and the neck reset to ensure the guitar continues to sound and play as it should.
This guitar includes a period Ventura hard case.
As with all vintage instruments, this B-25N has been given a full service by the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
