The Gibson ES-120T was introduced in 1962 as the companies student model electric arch top. This 1965 Gibson ES-120T is a great example of the model in equally good condition.
The thin line arch top body is fully hollow and features only one 'F' hole, with the other side of the top featuring a thicker, larger pick guard that houses all of the guitars electronics. The Melody Maker single coil pickup pairs nicely with the hollow body design, offering a familiar warm arch top tone that is a little brighter and cuts through a little more than other pickup options would. The mahogany set neck features a comfortable profile that is full feeling without being chunky.
This guitar is in good condition, with some minor signs of play wear and patina to the top and plastics, and some more obvious areas of buckle rash to the rear of the body. The original upper strap button position has been dowelled and moved. It is internally and externally original, with no repair work or cracks to the pickguard. This guitar also includes a case.
As with all our vintage instruments, this 1965 ES-120T has been given a full service by the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
