A really cool example of a 3 pickup Kay Speed Demon from 1962, featuring a vibrant sunburst and factory original Art Deco style vibrato, similar to those found on some of the Jazz II models of the same period. The body features a thin line semi hollow "f" hole design with a sharper Florentine cutaway. These particular guitars, like their Harmony and Silvertone equivalents, have become more and more popular in recent years, and represent great value for money in the vintage market with a solid build quality and unique tone and style. The real selling point of these Kay guitars is the "Speed Bump" pickups, manufactured by Gibson with a particularly growly output with plenty of bite and warmth.

This guitar is in very good original condition, with the kind of patina and play wear you would expect from an instrument of its age. This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
