Guild guitars from the '50s and '60s are often some of the most under appreciated guitars on the vintage market in our opinion, with the Hoboken, NJ made models making for some of the best quality, relatively affordable vintage instruments out there. This 1961 T-100 'Slim Jim' is a perfect example, with a typically excellent build quality and tone. The body is constructed from 3 ply Maple with a Mahogany neck, and finished in a deep red lacquer that remains vibrant to this day. These T-100 guitars were produced with a variety of pickups over the years, with this particular model featuring the chrome topped single coil Rowe Industries manufactured pickups, often seen with black or white tops on other examples. These pickups have a wonderfully balanced tone with plenty of chimes, '60s clarity, and a sweet amount of bite through a saturated amp. Other features include the original Waverley tuners and the original 'G' logo tailpiece.

This guitar is in very good condition, with no major signs of wear to speak of other than the kind of play wear expected from a guitar of this age. The electronics, finish and hardware are all original and fully working, and this guitar retains its original case

This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
