1961 Framus Grand Star

The Framus Grand Star was one of the companies top of the line arch tops in the 1950's and '60s, and features many of the design elements that make Framus guitars from this period so distinctive. This guitar features a Spruce top and the signature chrome pickguard found on these models, which houses both pickups and the electronics. The pickups can cover a lot of ground tonally, with everything from smooth jazz sounds to brighter, janglier tones more akin to Gretsch guitars. The neck features a chunky yet comfortable vintage style profile, and has large mother of pearl block inlays.

This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
