First introduced in 1960 serve as a top of the line model alongside the J-200, the Gibson Hummingbird has been one of the most played and sought after acoustic guitars of the last 50 years, remaining a constant in the Gibson catalog since its introduction. This 1962 Hummingbird is arguably the finest example we have ever seen, in stunning original condition, with almost no signs of play wear to mention. Constructed from a Sitka Spruce top and Mahogany back and sides, the Hummingbird features a beautifully ornate pick guard similar to that of the later Dove model. Other features include gold Kluson Deluxe tuners, split parallelogram pearl fingerboard inlays, and a belly up bridge with original adjustable saddle.

This guitar is in excellent, all original condition, and is one of the cleanest vintage Hummingbirds we have ever seen. This guitar also includes its original hard case, also in excellent condition.

This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
