Fano Guitars was started by Dennis Fano in the early 2000's, with the instruments produced exploring the idea of 'what if the greatest guitar companies of the '60s were working together under one roof, collaborating under one common goal?' Today, the builders at Fano have taken this concept and continued to push the boundaries vintage inspired instrument making, producing some of the finest luthier made guitars on the market.
This 2020 Fano JM6 Oltre is a fantastic example of the model. Hand built one guitar at a time, this Fano JM6 is contracted from an Alder body with a maple neck and rosewood board. The body is based around a '60s Fender offset shape and finished in a sleek black lacquer with what Fano describe as their 'light distress' level of ageing. The neck features a 25.5" scale and an extremely comfortable and playable early '60s style profile. Attention to detail is the name of the game with Fano instruments, with every inch of this JM6 feeling every bit as hand made as it should. The body features a Lollar pickup pairing of a soapbar P90 in the neck, and Firebird pickup in the bridge, offering a wealth of excellent tonal options. Other features include a Tone Pros T.O.M bridge and stop bar tailpiece, Fano Kluson style deluxe tuners, and lightly aged nickel hardware.
This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty. Also included is the original Fano padded gig bag and paperwork.
