The Fender Custom Shop are known for producing some of the best modern recreations of vintage instruments around, and this limited run 1952 Telecaster is a perfect recreation of an original Blackguard. Featuring an Ash body finished in a Journeyman Aged Butterscotch Blonde, the Custom Shop Journeyman relic treatment accurately recreates years of gentle play wear and patina, along with hardware ageing. The quartersawn Maple neck features a nice grain and a chunky early '50s 'U' shaped neck profile. The tuners, hardware and pick guard are all period correct and aged to match the finish, and the body is fitted with a set of hand wound Fender Custom Shop '51 Nocaster single coil pickups for an authentic vintage tone.
This guitar is in all original condition and includes its original tweed tolex Custom Shop case.
