Although not as well known as household names of the golden era of guitar making such as Gibson & Fender, D'Angelico have a rich and storied heritage of their own. Established in 1905 in Manhattan, New York D'Angelico have a stellar reputation based on over a 100 years worth of history of making some of the finest stringed instruments produced in the 20th century.
This D'Angelico Deluxe SS perfectly represents the companies more modern output, with a Maple semi-hollow body design fitted with a set of Seymour Duncan custom made humbuckers that cover everything from bluesy rock bite to warm, rich jazz tones. The rosewood neck features a slim 'C' neck profile and pearl block inlays, while the electronics incorporate a unique 6 way switching system, that gives you three pick up positions along with coil split options all in one pickup selector, without the need for any push/pull pots. This guitar is finished in a luxurious Powder Blue Matte lacquer, and features the resplendent Art Deco inspired D'Angelico headstock design that makes these guitars so recognisable.
As with all secondhand instruments, this guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty along with its original hard case.
