The Fender Joe Strummer Road Worn Telecaster pays tribute to one of punk rock’s most iconic figures with a faithful recreation of his battle-worn ‘66 Tele. Based on Strummer’s heavily modified and weathered instrument, this 2012 model features an Alder body finished in a distressed Black lacquer, capturing years of sweat, stickers, and attitude. The Road Worn treatment is authentically scuffed and scraped, perfectly matching the aesthetic of the Clash frontman’s trusted workhorse.
The Maple neck is carved to a comfortable “C” shape and features a 7.25” radius Rosewood fingerboard for a true vintage feel. Hardware is appropriately aged, with vintage-style tuners and a 6-saddle bridge offering both function and flair. A custom “Joe Strummer” neck plate and signature decal on the headstock seal the tribute.
What really defines this Telecaster is its raw, unpolished tone – the single-coil pickups deliver a cutting, midrange-heavy snarl that’s ideal for rhythm-driven rock and punk.
