The Gibson ES-137 was introduced to bridge the gap between classic arch top looks and the ever popular sound of guitars like the Les Paul, first appearing in the Gibson line in 2002. The ES-137 features a Maple body with Mahogany centre block to reduce hollow body feedback, and owes much of its looks to jazz guitars like the ES-175, with a gloss sunburst finish and Florentine cutaway. The body is fitted with a set of 490R & 498T pickups for that signature Gibson humbucker sound. Other features include pearloid fingerboard inlays, gold hardware and a tune-o-matic style bridge, as opposed to the trapeze found on most Gibson arch tops.
This guitar is in excellent condition and shows only very minimal signs of use. All electronics, hardware and finish are all original, and it retains its original Gibson case.
This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
