This 2008 Gibson '63 Reissue ES-355 is a fine example of the incredible work produced by the Gibson Custom Shop, perfectly capturing the signature tone, playability a looks of the vintage models it is based on. This guitar was released as part of a limited run in 2008.
Constructed from a Maple body with Mahogany neck and Ebony fingerboard, this ES-355 features a vibrant cherry finish that evokes the vintage look so associated with these guitars in the 1960's. The neck is a comfortable profile, with block pearl fret markers and the traditional split diamond headstock inlay found on these deluxe models. As a top of the line guitar at the time, the ES-355 features all gold hardware, including Grover Rotomatic tuners, and ABR-1 bridge and a factory fitted gold Bigsby Vibrato. The body is fitted with a set of Classic '57 Gibson humbuckers, perfectly capturing the nuanced tone of a vintage Gibson pickup, and features factory mono electronics as opposed to the stereo varitone switch set up.
This guitar is in very good cosmetic condition, with minimal wear to the instrument on the body, and some light play wear to the rear of the neck. This guitar is internally and externally original, and includes its original Gibson case.
