Gretsch guitars have always been renowned for their unique tone and style, and the Country Gentleman is by far one of their most iconic models. This 2006 Gretsch Country Classic is a fantastic recreation of a vintage Country Gent, replicating the exact spec of the same 1962 model used by George Harrison among other players. The laminate Maple body features a pair of Filter'Tron pickups wound to be precisely vintage voiced, which when paired with the upper bout tone switching give the Country Classic the versatile range of tones you would expect from a Gretsch guitar. The body features the painted on 'F' holes as per the '62 models, as well as the separate lower and upper string mutes that can be individually engaged from the top of the body. The Bigsby vibrato tailpiece is perfect for achieving the kind of gentle, warbling vibrato sounds that are so associated with Gretsch guitars, and the guitar is finished with ornate gold hardware, deluxe high ratio tuners and an Ebony fingerboard with pearl thumb fret markers.
This guitar is in excellent, near mint condition with its original case, with barely any signs of play wear to speak of. This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
