2002 Gibson Hummingbird Sold Out Sold Out First introduced in 1960 serve as a top of the line square shoulder model alongside the J-200, the Gibson Hummingbird has been one of the most played and sought after acoustic guitars of the last 50 years, remaining a constant in the Gibson catalog since its introduction. This 2002 Gibson Hummingbird is a great recreation of a vintage Hummingbird, with the kind of tone, projection and style that the model is so renowned for. This Hummingbird pairs a nicely aged cherry sunburst Sitka Spruce top with a single bound mahogany back and sides. The mahogany neck features a chunky 'D' shaped profile which is extremely comfortable in the hand, with a 1 11/16ths nut width and split parallelogram inlays. Other features include the vintage style engraved celluloid pick guard with hummingbird motif, Grover Rotomatic tuners, and a belly up rosewood bridge. This guitar is in excellent, all original condition, with only the most minor signs of play wear and patina to the finish. This guitar also includes its original hard case. This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
