Made in Japan in 1990, the Greco JLG 85 is a rare and highly accurate tribute to John Lennon’s modified Rickenbacker 325, produced in very limited numbers for the domestic Japanese market. It closely follows the original concept, featuring the correct short 20.75 inch scale length and a Bigsby style vibrato, reflecting the modification Lennon made to his own guitar. While the original Rickenbacker 325 is semi hollow, the Greco is built as a solid body instrument, offering a slightly different feel while retaining the distinctive look and playability.
This guitar is internally and externally original, and is in very good condition with only minor signs of play wear.
As with all our instruments, this guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 1 year warranty.
