The Gibson Les Paul Custom has always been considered the companies top of the line solidbody model, featuring the same sought after Gibson humbucker tone as other models, but with a finish and level of detail that is a cut above the rest. This 1993 Les Paul Custom is a great example of an early '90s Custom, generally considered to be a particularly good period for modern Les Pauls, and finished in a deep Wine Red lacquer.
Featuring a solid Mahogany body and multi bound Maple top, this is in in great cosmetic condition, with barely any play wear to speak of both to the finish and the gold hardware. The top certainly draws the eye compared to other similar Customs we have seen, with a particularly figured grain to the Maple. The ebony fretboard is in good condition, and the neck is comfortably playable without being too small in the hand. The body is fitted with the original 490R & 498T humbuckers used by Gibson in this period. As ever, this guitar features all the typical Les Paul Custom appointments, with gold hardware, multi ply binding and split diamond headstock inlay.
As with all our vintage instruments, this guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by the luthier at the Vintage Instrument Workshop and is guaranteed for 3 years in line with our vintage instrument warranty.
