The 1982 Ibanez FG100-NT is a prime example of Ibanez’s golden era of craftsmanship, when the brand was producing high-quality jazz guitars that rivalled (and often outperformed) their American counterparts. Made in Japan at the respected FujiGen factory, this FG100 is part of Ibanez’s sought-after Artist Series archtops.

The guitar features a full hollowbody design with a laminated maple top, back, and sides, delivering a warm, rich acoustic resonance - perfect for jazz, blues, and soul. The slim maple neck and bound rosewood fingerboard offer a fast, smooth playing experience, with 22 frets and classic block inlays.

Equipped with two Super 58 humbuckers, the FG100-NT produces a beautifully articulate and mellow tone, with just enough bite when pushed—these pickups are famously used in George Benson and Pat Metheny signature models for good reason.

The original natural finish (NT) showcases the wood grain beautifully, and the guitar is completed with silver hardware, a floating bridge, and trapeze tailpiece.

A beautifully built jazz box from one of the most respected periods in Japanese guitar manufacturing—this FG100 is a tonal and visual standout with lasting value.

This instrument is in very good original condition with only minor signs of play and includes a hard shell case.

This guitar has been given a full service by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 2 year warranty.
