The Precision Bass has long been the go bass guitar in studio and on stage, with its stripped back design, minimal controls and split coil pickup offering a huge amount of versatility for a variety of styles.
This 1977 Precision Bass is a typical example of a late '70s Fender bass. This Precision Bass features an Ash body with a Maple neck and fingerboard, with a slightly narrower nut width than found on '60s or '50s models. The body is finished in a natural clear lacquer that shows off the grain of the wood. The neck features the four bolt design, and the body is finished off with a black plastic pick guard and traditional P Bass split coil pickup.
This guitar is in very good condition, with only very minimal signs of play wear and patina. The lacquer on the front of the headstock has yellowed, but the finish is in otherwise great condition. The original bridge and pickup cover remain intact.
This guitar has been given a full service and appraisal by our luthiers at the Vintage Instrument Workshop, and includes a 3 year warranty.
