Introduced in 1965, the Martin D-35 is one of the companies most iconic dreadnought guitars alongside the D-18 & D-28. This model from 1975 is a great example of a mid '70s build, featuring a nicely aged Spruce top and rather beautiful 3 piece Indian Rosewood back as was the standard on the D-35.
This guitar is in very good condition, with minor wear and checking to the finish commensurate with age. It has had some changes and upkeep over the years. The finish is original, as is the bridge although it has been reglued after lifting. Our luthiers also gave the top wood some heat treatment to reduced any bellying. The original Grover tuners are in place, although there are signs that there have previously been a set of Waverley tuners on the guitar. The original pick guard has been replaced with a rather nice celluloid tiger stripe guard, and a Fishman Matrix pickup system has also been fitted. This guitar also includes its original blue Martin moulded hard case.
As with all our vintage instruments, this guitar has been given a thorough service by the Vintage Instrument Workshop and is guaranteed for 3 years in line with our vintage instrument warranty.
