The second variation of the Telecaster Custom was introduced in 1972, and was a landmark development for Fender, combining their wide range humbucker pickup and classic single coil bridge position sound, offering a level of versatility that proved hugely popular with players of the time. This model from 1975 is pure Keith Richards, and features a slab body with a sleek black finish and three bolt neck design. The neck is comfortable and smooth to play, while the original Seth Lover designed Wide Range Humbucker pickup sounds fantastic, combing the fuller sound of a Gibson style humbucker with the brilliance and clarity of a typical Fender pickup.
This guitar is in very good condition, with some minor play wear and buckle rash, but this is on the more minimal end of the spectrum. There is also some slight tarnishing to the original ashtray bridge cover. The original pots date to the 26th and 37th weeks of 1973, and both pickups are original and untampered with, along with the hardware and finish. This guitar also includes its original hard case.
