This 1959 Gibson Les Paul Junior Double Cut is a fantastic example from the golden era of Gibson solid body production
Constructed from a slab Mahogany body finished in Cherry, this guitar is in excellent condition with just the right amount of wear and patina to the finish. These 1959 models start to feature a slightly rounder edge to the body, as opposed to the squared off edges found on earlier versions. The neck is in excellent condition and features that famed '59 Les Paul neck profile, full feeling in the hand but equally extremely playable. It is easy to see why guitars from this period are so praised for their feel. The original dog ear P90 pickup is present and correct, with a wonderful clarity to the sound and plenty of growl through a cranked amp.
This guitar is internally and externally original, with the original wrap around bridge, black pickguard and Kluson tuners. The electronics and pickup are all original and in full working order, and this guitar includes its original crocodile case.
