The Gold Tone LS-6 evokes the Oahu Tonemaster, one of the most revered lap steels of the 1950s. The Goldtone version is so close to the original that owners of Oahu instruments buy LS-6 pickups and hardware from the company for use in the restoration of their prized guitars.
Constructed from a mahogany body, the LS6 is fitted with a soapbar pickup and features cream binding, a tobacco sunburst finish and kluson deluxe tuners.
The LS-6 is set up for open D tuning (DADF#AD) but other tunings can be accommodated by installing strings that are gauged for those tunings.
